Experience an incredible setting for two-seater helicopter lessons in Sussex! You'll take off from Brighton City Airport, flying over the southern coastline and South Downs National Park during these trial sessions in a helicopter. This is a CAA-accredited flight training organisation, specialising in helicopter pilot instruction. The centre features a large fleet of helicopters, all permanently stationed at the airport. Your instructor will familiarise you with the two-seater Schweizer S300 helicopter used for your lesson. Known for its stability and ease of flying, the Schweizer offers a spacious cabin with outstanding visibility. The airport, now focused on General Aviation, is lively, with numerous private planes and helicopters continually taking off and landing, allowing you to feel like part of the Sussex jet-set during your 15-minute helicopter lesson! After communicating with air traffic control for clearance, you'll quickly be in the air. When safe, your instructor will let you take control of the helicopter, meaning you'll be flying! The views during these lessons are as breathtaking as you’d expect. Just moments after takeoff, you’ll see Lancing College and the beautiful Brighton and Hove coastline - it's that close to everything! These helicopter lessons over Sussex come highly recommended.

I was given a 20 minute helicopter flight as a birthday present, and I have to say it was excellent Instructor Ed Hardcastle took off the R22 and we then followed the beach towards Brighton. I was able to take over the controls until we flew over the piers at which point Ed took back control to do a handbraketurn and we returned to the airfield for some hovering practice. That is absolutely the hardest thing to do on the planet you need to concentrate on so much simultaneously. I am sorry to admit that I failed dismally to keep the helicopter stable for more than 2 seconds, even though I had previously done 9 seconds of hovering nearly 3 years ago with Gary in GCROW. I had a fantastic time and cant wait to give it another go. Everyone at Advanced Helicopters found to be very friendly and helpful. 5 stars.

Because of lack of information, the wrong helicopter for me was ordered, so I had a very cramped experience and although the instructor had to be very accommodating under the circumstances, I thought the time I had with him was useful and interesting. I enjoyed the flying time.

I had a 45 min flight with Alex and couldnt recommend him enough. He allowed me the controls a lot more than i thought he would and showed me things i thought would only come with much more advanced lesson.Cant praise Advance enough for looking after us and making us feel really welcome.
