You’ll have the unique opportunity to take a seat in the cockpit of a freshly-restored ex-military Super Cub L18c – a beautiful vintage aircraft used by the United States Army decades ago! You’ll enjoy 20 minutes in the air, and you’ll be amazed as you take in breathtaking aerial views of South Downs and the sea.
This amazing experience is your chance to fly a freshly restored ex-military example Super Cub! Prior to take off you will receive a pre-flight briefing, and the instructor will show you around the Super Cub and describe the walk-round checks performed before each flight with a brief explanation on how the controls work. Following the safety checks you will be invited to board the aeroplane where the instructor shall explain the controls in the cockpit; then chocks away. All flights are tailored to the individual requirements and requests of the pupil; you can expect to take the controls of the aeroplane for 90% of the flight, or if you wish to do less on the day that is acceptable. The airport is situated between the South Downs and the sea, making it a wonderful location to fly in an area of outstanding natural beauty.
