About the experience
Experience a simulator flight from Hampshire to Los Angeles, where you'll handle a virtual light aircraft over LA. Can you make a smooth landing at LAX? These simulators are located at a flight training school at Solent Airport in Lee-on-Solent, where budding pilots train. The school uses Diamond DA40 and DA42 light aircraft, and the simulators replicate these setups using real Diamond aircraft parts and avionics. You'll be in the captain's seat with a sim instructor beside you. They will teach you the basics of controlling the plane, and then you'll practice approaches and landings around LAX. You can also simulate various weather conditions, such as clouds, rain, snow, and lightning. Additionally, you'll have the chance to fly around Innsbruck Airport in Austria, known for its challenging high-altitude approach and surrounding mountains.
