Soak up some of the heroism and skill required to be a bomber in the Second World War with this amazing Dambusters helicopter experience. On the night of 16th May 1943 nineteen Lancaster bombers took off on a vital raid deep in to the heart of Nazi Germany which required them to an exact height of 60ft during the bombing run – and you’ll be able to follow the route used to train them with an incredible 20 minute helicopter flight. You’ll soar over the Peak District, taking in breathtaking aerial views of Chatsworth House, the Mam Tor rock formations and Derwent Valley. What’s more, you’ll even receive a delicious cream tea once you’re back on solid ground.
Your experience begins with a full safety briefing. You’ll be treated to an exhilarating 20 minute helicopter flight over the original Dambusters training route. Once you have landed you will receive a tasty cream tea in the venue’s tea room. Spectators are welcome to attend and take photographs.
