Fly out into the surrounding area where you can take in the luscious Hertfordshire countryside on a clear day you'll see the London Skyline at the horizon. It is perfect for couples looking for an experience they can share with their partners.

This is a helicopter experience for two people with a flight instructor in the 4 seat Robinson R44 helicopter. You will spend 12 minutes in the aircraft alone with the instructor. One person takes front seat and will have the opportunity to have a go on the controls while the other person is passenger in the back and gets to enjoy the views. There is a safety and technical briefing that will last 30 minutes; this is done in a group setting, to allow 2 hours for the whole experience from start to finish. After the flight you will be treated to a couple of glasses of non-alcoholic bubbly and a box of chocolates

Available on selected weekday dates excluding Bank Holidays. Maximum weight limit per person is 20 stone (127kg), Maximum Height is 7’ or 213cm, Minimum Age is 10 years minimum height 4'6" (adult supervision required for under 16s on airfield premises). The voucher is to be used ‘by’ the expiration date, so please book ahead for maximum availability as experiences can be fully booked up to 3 - 6 weeks in advance at any given time. Please note we get booked up approx 3 - 6 weeks in advance and generally take bookings up to 3 months in advance only. If a particular date is required and is not available this is not grounds for a refund. Flying Pig Helicopters require a notice period of 7 working days before the date of your booking for rescheduling otherwise vouchers will be considered used. Once an experience or lesson has been booked cancellations will only be accepted in exceptional circumstances and at the discretion of Flying Pig Helicopters management, whose decision is final. Flights are subject to height and weight restrictions which are strictly applied for safety reasons to the helicopter used for the experience or lesson you have purchased/been given. Minimum Age is 10 years and Minimum height 4’6” (adult supervision required for under 16s on airfield premises). Please check the height and weight of the recipient before purchase. We ask that accurate heights and weights for each passenger flying are submitted in good time, so that weight and balance can be calculated for each flight and so that we can check that each participant is within Aircraft limits. We appreciate this can be a sensitive subject, but it is of vital importance and will also ensure there is no disappointment on the day. Flying Pig Helicopters reserves the right to check individual’s height and weight if in any doubt on arrival. Flying Pig Helicopters reserves the right to postpone any experience or lesson e.g. in the event of poor weather, Air Traffic restrictions, safety related issues or circumstances beyond their control. Please ensure you have not consumed any alcohol or substances that may affect your equilibrium for at least 24 hours before your lesson. If we suspect you have, then we reserve the right to refuse you permission to board the aircraft. A good understanding and ability to speak English is essential to flight safety, therefore we reserve the right to refuse to fly ‘the customer’ if we do not feel they have understood the safety briefing and their voucher will be deemed as used. If the Pilot in Command does not feel that they fully understand the instructions given they have the right to terminate the experience or lesson at any point. Please wear suitable footwear – no flip flops or high heels! Parking is available on site. Two forms of identification ONE Photographic ID, ONE Proof of address e.g. utility bill / bank statement etc. A driving licence card will cover both! These must be the originals. This is a legal requirement by the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority), without these we cannot allow anyone to fly. To allow approximately 2 hours or more for the whole experience from start to finish. No personal items can be taken in the helicopter for safety reasons (Incl. cameras or mobile phones) as you will be participating in a flying experience or lesson.
