Upon arrival you will be welcomed and briefed by one of Whizzard Helicopters’ specialist flight crew. Once you are safely strapped into your seat, the helicopter flight will start from Bettws y Coed, set in the beautiful Snowdonia forest park and surrounded by woods, mountains and waterfalls. From here you will fly south-west, passing over the castle at Dolwyddelan which was built in the 13th century by medieval Welsh Prince Llywelyn the Great. The breath-taking range of scenery continues to unfold beneath you as you pass by the spectacular views of Blaenau Ffestiniog, Portmerion and Beddgelert, said to be the resting place of Llewelyn the Great’s faithful hound, Gelert. On your way back to Bettws you will fly pass Snowdon, standing 1085 metres tall, it is the highest mountain in Wales and hosts some of the most beautiful scenery seen in the United Kingdom.
