About the experience

Enjoy a 30 Minute Flying lesson in a 2 seater Cessna 152 setting off from the historic Blackbushe Airfield. Before stepping onto the plane, you will receive a warm welcome from the flying school and will listen to a pre flight briefing before stepping on board and learning the basics of flying. You’re in safe hands and don’t need to worry, as there has been a flying school on this site since 1985 after the airfield was transformed from RAF Hartfordbridge used in World War Two to RAF Blackbushe as we know it today. Our instructors love what they do and are eager to turn you into independent pilots as you become more confident in the skies. Each session is expertly tailored to the individual and in the post flight glow you’ll receive a certificate and have the opportunity to enjoy refreshments on sight at The Bushe Cafe. These on site facilities can also be enjoyed by any accompanying spectators who want to watch you in the air as they provide great views of the runway. Come to an airfield rich in history and expertise as you take to the skies over Surrey and beyond. This is the ideal experience for those seeking hands on flying lessons in the wider Surrey and Hampshire area.

Really enjoyed my flight.The instructor was very good if it wasnt the fact they cancelled twice and didnt start my flight until 1145 though it was supposed to be at 1030am I would have given 5 stars.

I bought a flying lesson for my sons birthday and he thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Everyone at Blackbushe School of Flying was welcoming and professional and made the day a truly memorable one for him. Everything was explained clearly at the briefing and on the flight, the instructor, Adrian, let him take control of the aircraft for a generous length of time. There was some excitement in that a May Day was called on the ground while they were airborne which extended the lesson, but they landed safely.
