Earls Colne Airfield Information and Flying Experience Days
Earls Colne Airfield is located near Colchester in Essex. Built in 1941 for the RAF, originally intended for a bomber command group, it was assigned to the US Air Force in 1942. Its military use came to an end in 1955 and now is used for an industrial park, golf course, leisure centre and an airstrip used by a flying school. It is also home to the Essex Air Ambulance.
