Gyrocopter Lessons

Gyrocopter Flying Lessons for Beginners

Gyrocopter flying lessons are a great way to get hands on with flying and learn the basics in a rather different type of aircraft. With an instructor beside you, you'll get to know the controls, understand how a gyrocopter handles and have the chance to fly it yourself while airborne.

Lessons are available in both open and closed cockpit models, so you can choose between feeling the breeze as you fly or enjoying a more sheltered ride. Whether you're taking your first steps towards becoming a pilot or simply want to try something new, it's a good place to start.

What to Expect from a Gyrocopter Flying Lesson

Your lesson starts on the ground, where your instructor will run through the controls and explain how the gyrocopter works before you head out to the aircraft. Once you're airborne, you'll get to see how it handles and, when your instructor is happy for you to do so, have a go at flying it yourself.

Some lessons take place in open cockpit gyrocopters, while others use enclosed models, so the experience can vary depending on where you book. With lesson options ranging from short introductions to longer sessions, you can get a feel for flying at your own pace and decide whether you'd like to take things further.
