I can honestly say that it was THE best experience I have ever had. Having been interested in Aviation in the last year or so and the constant YouTube watching of inside the cockpit, to be able to sit in the cockpit and fly the plane was amazing. I could not of asked for a better instructor/pilot. He was amazing (I forgot what his name was…sorry) he encouraged me to go for my PPL and I am seriously thinking about it. This was a 50th Birthday gift from my Brother. Fantastic time, had a full 90 introduction to flying. the only bits I didn't do were take off and landing, (Obviously!),everything else was over to me so "hands on" time was maximised.
I pretty much had free reign on were we flew, the instructor didn't mind, so started off heading out over the coast up to spurn point, then followed the coast line up to Whitby, there I turned inland and we did a couple of manoeuvres, like flying with the engine on idle, max climb rates, dives etc also introduced to trim level flight etc we headed into a light cloud bank so he could show me the effect it has on the plane.

A brilliant experience. A one hour flight in a 2 seater light aircraft at Leven. Instructor took off and flew to 1,000 feet were he let me fly to Bridlington, Flamborough Head and Scarborough before flying back where the instructor landed. Still buzzing from the experience!

Peter was my instructor and managed to fit a lot of information about the aircraft and how it was controlled into a relatively short period of time. Wow what an exciting experience. From first arriving at the small airstrip we were looked after. We met with our pilot who gave us clear instructions on what to expect and all about the controls. The take off was smooth and once we had reached 3000 feet I was able to take over the controls and actually fly the plane. We flew for an hour travelling at 110 mph and covered a good distance with excellent views and my son in the back took many photos. Naturally the pilot took over the controls and we landed smoothly. I would highly recommend taking a flying lesson.

Worth every penny. Met some of the local club members as we waited for our 'plane to be checked and fuelled. Our Instructor for this trip was professional and engaging. Nothing was too much as I asked more and more as the flight went on. My guests in the back seat could see just as much as I could and they enjoyed the experience, too. We had beautiful weather and the whole trip was caught on camera to be re-lived on the home t.v. I flew for almost all of the flight save take off and landing. Into the Blue is recommended. Big smiles all 'round and very memorable.

I flew the plane for the majority of the time, apart from take off and landing, and, even though I am in my late 60's, I am considering further lessons and possibly trying for a licence.

The whole experience of flying a plane at Leven Airfield was amazing - and the help received from Into the Blue made it a very fun and uncomplicated experience throughout. My Husband loved his flight with a friendly and informative instructor, the clubhouse was totally welcoming.

We had a great visit to Hull for my trial flying lesson.
Everyone at the club was very friendly, including the club's very own dog!
The morning started with a technical introduction to the aircraft controls and functionality, over a nice cup of coffee.
The trial flying lesson was great fun. I had plenty of opportunity to take control of the aircraft and learn about the various maneuvers possible. For my flight, we were able to fly over the coastline and the view was fantastic.
There was plenty of flexibility to extend the length of the flight if I wanted to, at a reasonable additional cost. The team were even accommodating enough to take a friend up in a separate aircraft, again at a good price.

I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Everyone at the club was very friendly and the instructor explained everything to me and then once we were fully airborne, I was allowed to take the controls for myself until we came into land again- about 20 minutes of flying the plane myself. We flew over Bridlington, Filey and Flamborough and the views were amazing.

I had my first flying lesson for my16th birthday. It was absolute fantastic from start to finish. I was able to choose the route I was going to take on my flight and everything was explained to me so I was confident when I took control. I cannot wait have another lesson. I definitely recommend the Aero club and their instructors.
