Everyone was very welcoming. The flight was great and I was given the chance to take the controls of the glider myself when we were up, although I wasnt great at flying in a straight line It was all well organised at Buckminster Gliding Club and I would thoroughly recommend it. Best to use a voucher in the summer months though when there is a better chance of thermals and a longer flight. They did very kindly give me a second flight but that was at their discretion and not part of the deal.

After some rainy days we finally made it up on a cold January day for a fantastic gliding experience at the Grantham Airfield..and there were thermals We both had a go and the birthday boy stayed up for nearly an hour with his tutor and I, as a passenger, broke the January record at over an hour

Superb experience, highly recommended I knew I was going to enjoy it but it exceeded my expectations. The actual flights were brilliant recommend having a go yourself if the instructor lets you. However the experience was much more than that the opportunity to get involved with preparing the aircraft for flight was very interesting, and all the members at the club were really friendly and welcoming.
