About the experience

Take off with a 60 minute Flying Lesson from Bournemouth International Airport in Dorset. The 60 minute Four Seater Flight will be taken by an experienced pilot instructor from the flight school based at Aviation Park West. On arrival you will be welcomed by a safety briefing and being shown pre-flight checks. During the session you will learn how the aeroplane’s controls work and how the light aircraft operates, you will even have the opportunity to take the controls once in the sky. When up in the air you will have amazing views with sights of the Jurassic Coast, the Isle of Wight, The Needles, Corfe Castle, Old Harry Rocks and Hurst Castle. Once your feet are back on the ground you will relieve a certificate for completing the lesson. You will be itching to get back in the pilot's seat and complete more lessons.

As a gift to our terminally ill grandad who has never ever flown due to being claustrophobic, it was his bucket list to fly in a plane So we purchased the flight and from the word go, the staff were helpful and attentive. On the day of the flight we couldnt have wished for a better day Glorious sunshine We had a huge group of people to support grandad and all of the staff were incredible Grandad had Steve as his flying instructor and he put grandad at ease from the word go My aunty went in the plane with them and my gosh grandad had the best time ever He wished hed of flown earlier as he loved every minute. Nothing was rushed or hurried and we honestly had the most special day. Grandad received a certificate at the end which is pride of place in his lounge. We cant thank Steve and all the staff at into the blue enough as they made a grown mans wish come true. Thank you

I would like to say how much I enjoyed my flying lesson. The whole experience from start to finish could not have been improved. My communication with the gentleman in the office was excellent. He explained everything clearly and was extremely polite . He kept me updated over the phone,and made me feel most welcome on arrival. After completing some simple paperwork,I was introduced to my Pilot Colin Docherty, I cannot praise Colin highly enough for his professionalism and kindheartedness. He immediately put me at ease, as he checked and explained the workings of the Aircraft. During the flight ,Colin adjusted the trim of the aircraft and talked me through what did what. Colin showed me how to achieve a steady altitude and how to return to straight course after banking Port and Starboard. From taxiing to landing, Colins experience and professionalism made my experience magnificent. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone interested in flying .

My flight experience was memorable and extremely enjoyable from start to finish. The instructor was highly professional, very humorous and exceptionally knowledgeable about the aircraft, airfield and all things flying. He even allowed me to bring my little brother along for the flight. I would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone passionate about flying and to those who are generally intrigued by aviation.
