I was given a 20 minute helicopter flight as a birthday present, and I have to say it was excellent Instructor Ed Hardcastle took off the R22 and we then followed the beach towards Brighton. I was able to take over the controls until we flew over the piers at which point Ed took back control to do a handbraketurn and we returned to the airfield for some hovering practice. That is absolutely the hardest thing to do on the planet you need to concentrate on so much simultaneously. I am sorry to admit that I failed dismally to keep the helicopter stable for more than 2 seconds, even though I had previously done 9 seconds of hovering nearly 3 years ago with Gary in GCROW. I had a fantastic time and cant wait to give it another go. Everyone at Advanced Helicopters found to be very friendly and helpful. 5 stars.

Because of lack of information, the wrong helicopter for me was ordered, so I had a very cramped experience and although the instructor had to be very accommodating under the circumstances, I thought the time I had with him was useful and interesting. I enjoyed the flying time.
