This prestigious flying school, the only CAA Approved Training Organisation in the area, offers top-notch training against a backdrop of rich aviation history. Situated in the North Weald Bassett area of Essex, this Grade II listed aerodrome boasts a hangar from 1927 and an Officer's Mess standing since its inception in 1916. As a pivotal location in the Battle of Britain, this airfield continues to thrive with resident warbirds and a noteworthy museum. Featuring two concrete and one grass runway, the flight training school is operational year-round, providing budding pilots with comprehensive instruction and hands-on experience in both two and four-seater planes. Every lesson is designed to immerse you in the art of flying, with thorough pre-flight briefings ensuring that you feel confident and ready to take to the skies over North Weald.

Trial Lessons
- After a welcome and introduction, your instructor will discuss the pre-flight checks.
- Two seater Cessna 152
- Once airborne, you will have the chance to take the controls and fly the aircraft.
- Flight duration is from 'brakes on to brakes off'
- Instruction flying time will count towards your pilot licence training should you decide to start lessons
Information
- There is no minimum age; however, for flight time to count towards gaining your licence, the minimum age is 14
- Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult on the airfield
- A photographic ID will be required on the day
Two Seater Restrictions:
- Maximum weight 15 stone
- Maximum height 6ft 1 ins
- All flights are subject to weather conditions and air traffic control clearance
- Weekdays and weekends throughout the year

- Although time slots are allocated, please be aware that aircraft lessons are subject to several factors that may cause delays in your scheduled time.
- Whilst every effort will be made to help keep you on time, we ask for a degree of flexibility due to the nature of flying, air traffic delays and weather considerations.
- Spectators are welcome to attend and watch participants in flight, with plenty of great photo opportunities.
