Get a feel for Microlighting with this 60 Minute Flight from a small and friendly airfield near Thurlbear village just south of Taunton in Somerset. Known for their lightness, ease of control and the way they nip through the skies, these fixed-wing Icarus C42 microlights are ideal for learners who are just starting to feel their way through the controls and discover flying for the first time. If that sounds like you, you won't want to miss out on this trial flight run by Jim Greenshields who not only runs lessons in them but builds and sells microlights across the world. Having been flying microlights since 1978, Jim knows a thing or two about how to fly them and is one of the most passionate instructors around. As soon as you arrive here, you'll probably catch the microlighting bug, all before you've taken a seat on the plane. Like all flying lessons, this one will start with a safety briefing and tour of the controls, just so you know what you're working with, before progressing into the dramatic skies over the Jurassic coastline. If you're feeling up for the challenge, Jim will then pass the controls over to you to give you a taster of flying! But if you'd rather just sit back, relax and enjoy the flight that can be arranged to. However you decide to play this flight, it's safe to say it will give you some of the best views around and shouldn't be missed if you are in the Somerset area.
