About the experience

Fly out of Blackbushe Airfield located between the Surrey and Hampshire border in this compact microlight fixed-wing Ikarus C42 with an enclosed cockpit. No other experience will feel quite like being in a real plane as this is not only enclosed but boasts a powerful 100hp engine which will have you ascending through the skies in no time. After settling into the microlight you will be taught how to fly the plane straight, which is known as ‘straight and level’ in formal flight terms and all the other essential controls. This 60 minute flight will soon put you in the driver's seat as the instructor will allow you to fly the plane yourself once you’ve got to grips with the basic controls. It’s safe to say you’ll probably be feeling like a pro pilot in no time, as this microlight is fun and responsive to fly and easy to get the hang of once you know how. Luckily for you, our instructors are highly experienced and run this course as part of the Microlight Flying Syllabus which is the same one taken to gain a microlight pilot's licence. In no time at all you’ll be racking up the distance in this hour long session. Once you land, smiles are guaranteed from ear to ear as you reflect on the experience and how much you’ve learnt.
