About the experience

For those who've wanted to get an insight into how Boeing 737 commercial airliners are flown, then this 90 minute session on a fully functioning, fixed-base Boeing 737 flight simulator at one of the UK's best known airports - London Luton Airport - will tick all the boxes! Luton Airport is of course best known as one of the main bases for EasyJet and RyanAir in the UK, and now is your chance to get a feel for what it's like to sit in the captain's seat. The simulator is kitted out with 220° wraparound screens and crystal clear 4k projectors, to make it feel as fully immersive an experience as piloting the bonafide 737 as possible. Run by Howard and Paul, two friends who first met whilst training to be 737 simulator instructors, and this simulator is located in modern premises that are literally a stone's throw from the main Luton Airport runway, so you can see the planes take off whilst being sat in the flight simulator. With their skills and expertise, you'll be learning under the very best instructors around. And with a flight database of over 24,000 airport destinations around the globe, where you fly off to, whether it's New York, Paris or London, is entirely up to you! You can choose to fly partial or whole routes, and even determine the weather conditions you fly in, or simulate emergency situations, for example engine failure. You can also make it a truly executive flight simulator experience and add on brunch, lunch or tea provided by the very same catering company who supply food and drink on the multitude of business and VIP executive flights that take off from Luton.

Absolutely brilliant. Booking the session was simple. Upon arrival we were greeted by Howard who took us through the entire process before we boarded the 737. The explanation of functions and processes in the cookpit was excellent. I cant fault the experience we are already planning the next one.

I bought this for a 14yearold who has aspirations to be a pilot. He thoroughly enjoyed the experience. His copilot Tim explained everything clearly, and was patient and understanding at all times. The cockpit itself is very realistic, and the view was impressive. We flew between two airports in Hong Kong, which was something he had done in real life. Excellent afternoon, recommended.

This was such a brilliant experience My instructor was so enthusiastic and helpfuI. I could choose the airports I wanted to fly out of and into, each of which had their own challenges. It was so realisticI was given problems to respond to midflight such as a stall and NMAC to challenge myself.

Booked the one hour session for my son who is interested in a career as an airline pilot. Howard at Voyager was so welcoming and took time before the session commenced to discuss the industry. The experience was realistic and allowed for family spectators in the cabin at no extra charge. Easy to locate and free parking. Complimentary hot drinks provided in a nice lounge area.
