This is a completely unique Flight Simulator Experience as the 90 minute session takes place in the Upper Deck of a real Boeing 747-400. The aircraft, based at Manchester City Airport has been converted into a simulator giving the Pilot as authentic a Boeing 747 flight experience as you can get! With a genuine 747-436 cockpit and incredible 180-degree wrap around graphics, the 'Deck 747' crew will ensure your 747 simulator session is fully immersive and absolutely amazing.

  • A 90-minute session 
  • The ex-British Airways genuine 747-400 top deck, complete with the cockpit, has been converted into a totally immersive simulator with a 180-degree wrap-around screen.
  • Introduction to the controls and instruments
  • Take off and land anywhere in the world guided by an experienced instructor.
  • Experiences can include multiple take-offs, landings, emergency scenarios, and sightseeing, depending on your chosen flight duration.
  • Up to four guests may join you in the cockpit and either share the flight time or observe, subject to an additional charge payable when booking your date.

Important Information

  • No minimum age
  • Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult, subject to a guest charge payable when booking your date (see spectators)
  • Younger children may need to sit on the adult’s lap or use a booster seat, and the adult is responsible for ensuring they follow all crew instructions
  • Children may only touch cockpit controls when invited and must follow the instructor’s directions. If the instructor feels a child cannot safely participate or suitable seating isn’t possible, they may be asked to take part as a spectator only
  • Due to space constraints, most wheelchairs will not fit into the flight deck. Users must be able to make their way unaided from the cabin into the front cockpit seat

  • Additional person charges apply should you wish to bring someone (up to 4 extra) to come with you to share the flying-in experience or just spectate
  • Prices start at £20, depending on the length of the sim package purchased. Full details are provided by The Deck 747 when booking.

  • Tuesdays to Sundays throughout the year
  • Dates and session times are subject to availability
  • Sessions are generally available between 10:00-19:00

This was a birthday gift to my 10 year old grandson and was an amazing experience. The authenticity of the cockpit and helpful tuition from Sam the copilot instructor made it a very special occasion . The 90 minutes literally flew by

A dream come true, I loved every second of it. Two take offs and two landings and left to fly over New York and navigate the plane. So so realistic and training pilot was so thorough and patient. Highly recommend.

I was looking forward to this, but it was even better than I could have expected. Thomas was a great host, which added to the enjoyment of it all.
