About the experience
If you have a visual or hearing impairment and have dreamt of taking to the skies and defying gravity, this incredible new tandem skydiving experience will help you realise those dreams and see that they are possible to achieve, regardless of your disability or impairment. Hosted at one of three UK wide venues including Norwich, Peterborough and Nottingham, you'll meet with your friendly and qualified skydiving instructor, who will take you gradually through each step, from preparation to landing. Then, as you board the plane, you'll take off and the nerves and excitement will build as you head up to heights of around 13,000 ft, as you prepare to take the leap of faith. And once you're out, you'll be freefalling at speeds of 120mph, feeling the exhilaration as your parachute opens and you begin your gentle descent back down to earth. Many people bring family and friends along to cheer them on - after all, it's not everyday you jump out of a plane attached to a parachute! It all adds up to both a challenging but exciting experience and one that will create memories you're sure to remember for the rest of your life.
Itinerary
Prior to the day of your jump, you will need to have completed the following:
Self certify with the supplier on their website as to your fitness to jump, or obtain a BSB Form 115B signed by your doctor (please read more information on this below under the 'General' section. For Deaf or Blind participants, you will need to select the appropriate medical form.) If no medical form is needed, a requested date for your jump will be submitted to the jump site and they will contact you directly (although this will be weather dependent), with a £100 non-refundable fee paid to the jump site.
You will receive all your confirmation and details direct from the jump site. You will need to call the jump site at least 24 hours before your skydive to confirm weather conditions.
On the day of your jump, the itinerary will be as follows:
Welcome and sign on Pre flight preparation and kitting up Take off to heights of 13,000 ft in the air Jump from the plane Post jump feedback with the instructor Duration
Please allow to be at the venue for around 4 - 6 hours.
Important Information
Accessibility
This tandem skydive experience is accessible to most people, including those with disabilities and visual impairments. You are required to lift your legs up in front of you to avoid injury to yourself and your instructor on landing. You must have the strength, flexibility and limb control to achieve this. We have BMI restrictions in place to ensure this is achievable. The maximum permitted 39.9 to 39.0. If you have any chronic health issues you must obtain a Doctor's Certificate before jumping. If you have limited mobility or limb control, you may still be able to go skydiving - you can get in touch with the supplier to arrange an assessment. General
The weight limit for tandem skydiving (fully clothed) is at 94kg for women, and 98kg for men.
Your height and weight should be in proportion.
It is strongly advised that a carer, friend or family member attends this experience. This is to ensure that you have someone to help you after your incredible experience.
This experience is suitable for people over 16 years. Those aged 40 and over will require a BPA Medical form signed by a doctor, and under 18s will require the signature of a parent or guardian.
If you suffer from any of the following medical conditions, you must obtain a Doctor’s signature on a BPA Medical Form prior to jumping: Epilepsy, fits, severe head injury, recurrent blackouts or giddiness, disease of the brain or nervous system, high blood pressure, heart or lung disease, dislocated shoulder, recurrent weakness or dislocation of any limb, diabetes, mental illness, drug or alcohol addiction.
If you have a disability, it may be necessary to get a Doctor to sign the BPA Medical form - you can contact the supplier for further information on this.
This activity is not suitable for pregnant women.
Friends and family are welcome along to come and watch you on the day of your jump.
Jumpsuit, helmet, goggles and all the other kit you need to complete the jump will be provided to you on the day. Please wear comfortable, loose fitting clothes and flat-soled shoes with no hooks – trainers are ideal.

Availability
The Tandem Skydiving Experience is available on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays all year round.
Order Information
You can purchase an open Gift Voucher valid for 10 months, or 14 months for an additional fee at checkout, and must be used before the expiry date. Once you book, you will receive an email with a unique booking code. The supplier will verify and email you a voucher, along with instructions to book.
Requesting a date is simple; you will follow the link to their booking page and medical declaration form to select your experience and dates. Due to the unique nature of what the supplier offers, many of their experiences have limited dates and all venues are subject to availability at the time of booking. It is, therefore, advised that you book as soon as possible to ensure there are spaces available. When you book a date you will be exchanged to the terms and conditions of the supplier running that particular experience.
Weather Conditions
This experience can only take place if the right weather conditions are present for it to happen safely. Cloudy weather or high winds will result in the skydive being postponed.
You will have spoken to the team at the jump site the day before confirming weather conditions. However, skydiving is a weather dependent activity, and there is always the chance that skydivers will have to wait a while, or even return on an alternative date.
Once a date is confirmed, all skydives are non refundable, but there is no charge or penalty to reschedule due to weather. It is requested that skydivers are prepared to turn up and wait for suitable conditions, as forecasts are not always accurate.
