About the experience

Experience the thrill of vintage RAF flying with the Dambuster Flight Experience, taking off from Netherthorpe Airfield between Worksop and Sheffield. This unforgettable open-cockpit adventure will see you retracing the historic routes of the legendary 617 ‘Dambusters’ Squadron into the Derwent Valley. Flying in a striking vintage-style biplane inspired by the iconic Stampe aircraft, you will follow in the footsteps of the brave aircrews who made aviation history during the Second World War. With breathtaking views of the Derbyshire countryside and the historic Derwent Valley below, this is a unique opportunity to experience the skies from a whole new perspective. To make your flight even more authentic, you will be kitted out in a traditional flying suit, leather jacket and helmet before taking to the skies. Combining aviation heritage, incredible scenery and the excitement of open-cockpit flying, the Dambuster Flight Experience is a must for history enthusiasts and adventure seekers alike.
