Flights take place on weekday mornings - and whilst it’s a very early start for this one due to the balloon needing the optimum meteorological conditions to fly, the rewards of seeing the sun gently rising over the landscape, people and places are quite spectacular. It’ll amaze you both just what can be seen from as much as 3000 ft up in the air. Flying gently and serenely over the early morning haze, you may wonder if you’re still dreaming - especially as the only sound and sensation you’ll hear every so often in flight will be that of the engine releasing more hot air into the balloon as you drift higher up! And as you’re moving with the air, you’ll feel very stable and weightless. Few are the people that don’t love spotting a hot air balloon in flight, so you can expect friendly waves and “hellos” from far below on the ground! The length of the flights, guided by an expert pilot, are approximately an hour, and you’ll even get a chance to assist with aiding the inflation of the balloon. Once back on terra firma, you’ll finish by toasting this most unique of flying experiences with a glass of something bubbly.

You will need to climb into the basket and stand for the duration of the flight

It is advisable to wear sensible outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear
Bring a hat and remember launch sites may be muddy in Spring and Autumn
Spectators are welcome to watch the balloon depart and then follow the balloon, once it is airborne
Spectators can only enter the landing site with the permission of the ground crew
