About the experience

Step into the cockpit at Easter Airfield near Tain for a full hour of unforgettable flying over the Scottish Highlands. After a warm welcome, you will sit down with your pilot to map out your route before climbing into a modern four-seater training aircraft. From take-off, the scenery opens up below you – sweeping beaches at Ballintore, the sparkling waters of Loch Eye and the dramatic stretches of the Dornoch and Cromarty Firths. With a full 60 minutes in the air, you will have plenty of time to enjoy the views and get a real taste of flying. Once you are settled at around 3000 feet, your experienced instructor will invite you to take the controls. Under expert guidance, you will practise gentle turns, climbs and steady flying as you explore the skies above the Highlands. The team at Easter Airfield is made up of active and retired airline pilots who combine top-level expertise with a relaxed, friendly approach. This 60-minute flight offers the ultimate trial lesson, giving you more time to build confidence at the controls and take in the breathtaking scenery from an entirely new perspective.
