About the experience

Prepare to take off - without ever leaving the ground - in this fully immersive Flight Simulator of the iconic Mk IX Spitfire on a 60 minute training session at RAF Mildenhall in Suffolk. This active RAF/USAF airbase is perhaps the most perfect location for this flight simulator package, which the people behind it have worked closely with Mildenhall over the years, so have an in-depth understanding of avionics electronics to help this Spitfire simulator feel as close to flying the real thing as possible. It comes with a complete replica cockpit, full analogue controls and tactile, and a 220° HD screen, offering the outside views in ultra high resolution quality, with those iconic elliptical wings and propeller also projected onto the screen, all to help you feel just even a small amount of what those trainee WWII fighter pilots must have felt. After a session in the training sim, to get you used to the instruments, start up, taxiing, flight controls and landing, you'll move over to the Spitfire simulator to complete your mission: successfully flying it and potentially taking on a Battle of Britain aerial dogfight. It all adds up to what promises to be both an evocative and exciting flight simulator experience for military aviation enthusiasts.

Excellent, a very realistic simulator not to be confused with others based on MSFS with flat screens. The USP here is the panoramic environment which gives you 180 degree field of vision, albeit at the expense of some definition. Challenging, but very rewarding.

The simulator was amazing. I took off and landed at Duxford twice. There was a full and thorough briefing. Kenneth was extremely patient and tapered my experience to suit me. I have restricted mobility.The simulator I used was incredible and lifelike.Thanks to Kenneth and Harry for making it a great day.

I was given excellent clear tuition on the basic flying controls on training screens. Once I had understood these the hour spent in the Spitfire simulator seemed to pass exceedingly rapidly, being expertly coached by Kenneth when needed. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would definitely recommend it to anyone considering a flight.
