About the experience
Experience the thrill of unpowered flight at the Dunstable Gliding Club! Located just west of Dunstable town centre, on the Dunstable Downs, our club is easily accessible from London and the Home Counties. Once you're up in the air, soaring through the skies in our modern ASK21 gliders, you'll be able to enjoy breathtaking views for miles around. Our tandem, two-seat gliders are well known for their reliability and ease of use and offer great visibility from the cockpit. At the Dunstable Gliding Club, we're passionate about gliding. Our friendly and well-equipped club is open to all, and we offer a range of courses and experiences to suit everyone. If you choose our one-day gliding course, you'll learn about flying the glider and airfield operations, getting a real insight into how the club works. You'll get three Aerotow flights throughout the day, and your experience includes a voucher for lunch at our on-site café, a flight logbook, and one month's membership in the club so you can continue learning to glide. Our club is a highly collaborative community where all members share a passion for gliding. Launching and landing a glider takes several pairs of hands, making it a convivial, fun, and very active sport. One Day Gliding Course
- The ideal experience for would-be glider pilots!
- A day of gliding with three aerotow launches to two thousand feet
- With 15-20 minutes in the air from each aerotow there's plenty of time to fly the glider yourself (under the supervision of your instructor)
- A lunch voucher to use in the on-site café is also included
- You will also receive a log book to record the start of your gliding journey and one month of club membership from the date of your experience
