About the experience

Get ready to gain your drone wings on this two hour, one-to-one drone flying lesson! An ideal session for novice drone pilots, or for those who just fancy trying it out, it’s run by certified commercial CAA drone pilots at the Cricket Club in the Hampshire village of Chawton, based near Alton - famously known for being the one time place of residence of one of the country’s literary greats, Jane Austen - a truly outstanding backdrop from which to learn the basics of flying drones safely. And as your tutors for this lesson have extensive knowledge and experience with piloting drones and unmanned aerial vehicles, you can be assured that you are learning from the very best around. As well as getting familiar with The Drone Code, safe flying guidelines and how to use the DJI Go App, you’ll also be taught - using either the DJI Phantom or Mavic Pro drones, or your own drone if you want to bring that along to the lesson - how to take off, control and land the drone. And because the lesson is that bit longer, it means you’ll have plenty of practical time to try out your newfound skills, but also take on more advanced techniques such as tracking and quick shot modes. Overall, this is a fantastic lesson for beginner drone pilots to really learn their craft!

An excellent two hours spent with Andre teaching me the basics of owning and operating a drone. He taught me the sorts of drone you can buy, the best one for my needs and then flying one with confidence and how to get out of trouble if the situation arises

An excellent, highly experienced expert coach who took me through all the key points of theory so I understood what I was doing and explained it all in simple to understand terms. Flying the drone in the practicle session was not only fun, but also boosted my confidence with controlling the drone. He was able to gently guide me through the controls and the flight so that I would now feel quite confident about flying one on my own. A great lesson and the lovely countryside made it.

A great 2 hours of 1 to 1 drone instruction from Andre, my instructor. I flew the Mini4 Pro and the Air3S in basic and advanced modes. Im looking forward to getting my own drone soon so will be able to put what Ive learnt into practice

Andre arrived at the meeting point at the agreed time. We started with some work on theory and safety. Followed up with Andre showing us three of his drones to gain a better understanding as to how they worked and special feature. After this was the practical flying experience starting with basic control operations and use of the camera and followed up by some more advanced manoeuvres Andre is clearly an experienced flyer and good instructor and I would readily recommend to any beginners or intermediate flyers

My drone training experience with Andre was excellent. He explained the rules very clearly so that I now better undertsand the type of drone to fly and where I can fly. The one to one instruction is the best way to learn you get focussed and tailored training which suited my needs perfectly
