1903. The First Flight
Brothers Wilbur and Orville Wright flew the first aeroplane they had been developing for years from Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, on December 17th, 1903.

1914-1918. WW1
Aviation technology rapidly advanced during World War One, with planes used for reconnaissance, combat, and bombing. Biplanes and triplanes dominated the era.

1920-1925. Birth of Commercial Aviation
Airlines began to emerge, with companies like KLM (1919) and Lufthansa (1926) laying the groundwork for modern air travel. Mail was gradually being delivered by air globally, and planes were getting larger and faster.

1927. Transatlantic Flight
Charles Lindbergh made the first solo nonstop flight across the Atlantic Ocean from New York to Paris on May 20th. The flight took 33.5 hours and covered 3,600 miles. Lindbergh's plane, the Spirit of St. Louis, was built specifically for the flight.

1952. Jet Airliner
The de Havilland Comet became the first jet airliner, marking a new era in civil aviation. This aircraft could carry 36 passengers at a cruising speed of 720 km/h (450 mph) over a distance of 4,000 km (2,500 miles).

1958. Boeing 707
The birth of the first Boeing 707 made jet travel widespread and affordable, reducing flight times and increasing the accessibility of long-distance journeys.

1976. Supersonic Flight
The Concorde was introduced in 1976, offering supersonic passenger flights, but was retired in 2003 due to high costs and environmental concerns.

2008. The Birth of FlyDays
We opened our doors in 2008 and began trading by offering customers flying experiences across the country from a wide range of airfields. Skydiving, flying lessons, helicopter rides, simulators - you name it, you can probably book it with us.
