Our newly released booking data here at FlyDays shows that optimistic Brits are already planning a brighter 2021, as voucher bookings are flying high.
Indeed, our latest research discovered that despite the pandemic, bookings over the last quarter showed an increase as thrill seekers look to seize the day, albeit a day next year.
In fact, bookings for flying lessons are now as popular as they were pre-pandemic, with most bookings for open vouchers that are typically valid for up to 10 months.
Dan Jones, operations manager at FlyDays.co.uk, says: "It is very encouraging to see that Brits are already looking ahead to an upbeat 2021. We’ve recently seen an increase in bookings for flying lessons using an open voucher, which means that those booked now can still be used next summer."
Not only this, some flying lesson experiences are even up on bookings pre-pandemic, most notably the Aeroplane Pilot Land Away packages, which lets people take the role of a pilot, navigator and passenger all on the same day, which has shown an increase of 9% year-on-year compared to 12 months ago.
Dan added: "As we continue to live in uncertain times, booking a flying experience for the future is something to look forward to. Of all the packages we offer, a flying lesson is among the most extreme as customers can actually take control of the plane, even if they are a complete novice. It would appear that people still want to live life to the full and try something new."
