Jet off into the skies with an exhilarating 20-minute microlight flight from the fantastic Darley Moor Airfield in Derbyshire! With a variety of aerial activities on offer, this is the perfect opportunity to experience the thrill of flying. Chief Flying Instructor Chris Dawes and his partner Judy run this Derbyshire microlight school. Judy, an MBE holder, is a world record breaker and a multiple-time world champion. Together, they make an unbeatable team, their passion for the sport evident in their dedication and extensive background. All the instructors are CAA-approved, ensuring you’re in excellent hands. The school offers both types of microlights to choose from. Flexwing microlights have a hang-glider shaped canopy with a small open cockpit in tandem, while fixed-wing microlights, despite looking like conventional airplanes, are lightweight with controls similar to light aircraft and side-by-side seating. Flying out of Darley Moor Airfield, you'll be treated to stunning aerial views of Dove Dale, Ashbourne, and Carsington Water, among other beauties.
