Amazing experience. The people were great, really friendly and very helpful. The skies were clear and the view fantastic. Flying in a microlight flex wing is very different to being in a plane. You need to try it to understand. I recommend this experience. If you have a sense of adventure, youll love it.
I had an absolutely brilliant afternoon . Mark was my Pilot instructor . He put me at my ease immediately . We first chatted about what to expect and of cause the weather was lovely . He then advised me on what to wear as Id taken a few jumpers with me. He then took me around the microlight and he told me about different buttons and levers that I should not press And talked about the vehicle. We went back to the hanger to put on a flying suit and I had some things to sign . I should have put on a very small scarf as my neck did get cold but it didnt matter. Once all suited up I was ready to go it was time to get in , mark showed me first, but Im such an awkward person, he was very patient. Then it was time for the off , it only took seconds and we were flying. It was a tiny bit scary at first as you feel you are not moving but I got used to it. Mark pointed out places of interest and geographical things, he knew so much. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment . The scary gift from my daughter was a fabulous gift in the end Id highly recommend this company , from my first phone call to book , the lady taking the call was so lovely and helpful, to Mark who was such good fun but also knowledgeable , on the day Fabulous
Amazing experience difficult to put into words. Very friendly and helpful staff and the pilotinstructor, Steve, very professional and knowledgeable. he really lives flying made me feel very relaxed and safe throughout the flight. Really really good. Planning to do it all over again

For someone who lived in Derbyshire as a child went to school in Matlock, camped , walked, over many years,it was fantastic. I extended my flight and at 80 yrs old I would recomend this to any one..People at Ashbourne were great .
Yes would definitely recommend the microlite flight from Ashbourne to anyone. The set up is very friendly and they do an extra film 30 of your experience from a camera fixed to the wing In theory the discussion between instructor and you should be captured but that did not happen. But the views on the film reflect very much what I saw. I was allowed to fly the microlite for a while and the hour counts to your pilots licence if you wish to pursue that. They even let my grandson sit in a cockpit of a tiger moth parked on the field I would definitely go again. NH
Purchased this experience from Intotheblue. Excellent company no hassle deal was as stated and very good value for money.Did microlight experience at Darley Moor Airfield near Ashbourne. From the moment we arrived all the staff were really friendly and put you at ease. This was my first microlight flight and Mark my pilot was relaxed and explained all the safety procedures and what would happen on the flight.It was truly amazing to take off and fly over the derwent valley countryside of the derbyshire peak district including dovedale, thorpe cloud and the stepping stones. I totally recommend this experience for the most brilliant day of my life. I am 70 years old so you are never too old to try this experience.
