Escape from the city - just 10 minutes outside of the big smoke you will find Elstree Aerodrome in Hertfordshire, home to plenty of 4-seater modern planes for you to fly. In this introductory flying lesson, you'll be in the 4-seater Piper PA28 which has a dual-controlled cockpit, ideal for when you have a go with the controls during your flight. This 30-minute session is designed to give you a taster of flying as you cruise over the busy airspace just out of the centre of London. With you, you'll have an expert instructor who may have a background in the military or as a commercial airliner. Either way, you'll be in the best hands and be receiving some expert tuition on how to fly these modern planes, which are ideal for learning in by the way, and a firm favourite across many flying schools in the UK. - Please read the height and weight restrictions before booking
- Minimum age for a lesson is 14 years old
- Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult on the airfield
- Two forms of identity including photographic ID will be required on the day
- Spectators are welcome to attend and watch participants in flight with plenty of great photo opportunities
- Participants of four seater experiences are allowed to bring an interested observer (min age 14) who can observe the lesson from the rear seat (at the discretion of the flight instructor and subject to weather conditions)

On arrival we were greated by a nice lady she made us all fill very welcome. She then went through what was going to happen on my flight.on meeting the pilot he then went over the controls of the plan.he then took the plan to the runway a told me that I was to take the plan off and was left in control of the plan for the full hour of my lesson.i had done a helicopter lesson and this was far better I had an amazing hour

Fantastic experience and amazingly friendly staff. Very friendly staff and the instructor was very reassuring, supportive and funny. My boyfriend loved taking control of the flight and I thoroughly enjoyed taking pictures of the amazing views from the back seat. Highly recommended.

I was bought a flying lesson by my wife for my birthday. It was a very enjoyable experience, booking was easy and intotheblue were excellent when I called to make an amendment when I decided to take my dad as well. The provider was very friendly, efficient and made the experience very relaxing and fun. I would recommend intotheblue and the provider Flight Training London to family and friends.

Fully enjoyed the experience, the customer service was great at every single contact, before on and after the day. Only downside was the flight was late, but that didn't matter as we enjoyed watching the planes taking off and landing.

This is a difficult review as the booking was flawless and they were very reasonable about my diary changes. The instructor was great and put me at complete ease. The take off was fine and good fun, but the only problem is that I did not enjoy the rest of the experience at all. The cockpit is hot and cramped, but I guess that is light aircraft flying. If you don't mind that sort of thing then you will love it and I highly recommend the team at Elstree. If you turn as green as I did then its not really the experience for you or loved one. Overall I'm really glad I did it as how do you know if its for you, until you have had a go?

Very easy to make the booking with Elstree Aerodrome. Everything worked perfectly on the day for my grandson's flying experience. He had a terrific time and hasn't stopped talking about it since, and the rest of the family enjoyed an afternoon out at Elstree and the friendly cafe.
The flying instructor was excellent - reassuring, engaging and friendly.
