Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by your experienced instructor pilot at the main terminal building. Following a comprehensive safety briefing and aircraft familiarization, you will take to the skies in either a two-seater Cessna or a four-seater Piper plane. While the instructor will handle takeoff and landing, you will have the thrilling opportunity to take the controls during level flight. At Cumbernauld Airport, you will benefit from expansive airspace, ensuring a seamless and unrestricted flying experience. Moreover, the airport boasts a charming café and restaurant, allowing friends and family to witness your flying prowess while enjoying the comforts of the airport facilities. - A trial flying lesson in a two or four-seater aircraft
- 1:1 tuition from a CAA qualified instructor
- Safety briefing and familiarisation with the aircraft and its controls
- Your flight route will be explained as your instructor completes the final flight checks before take off
- Once airborne you will be given the opportunity to handle the controls (for a 30 minute lesson there may be a brief opportunity to take the controls if timing allows for this but it is not guaranteed)
- Flight times quoted are chock to chock
- Flight time can be counted towards a Private Pilot's Licence (PPL)

- Minimum age of 14 years old
- Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult on the airfield
- Photographic ID will be required on the day

- Weekdays and weekends throughout the year
- Flight are subject to availability and weather conditions

- Spectators are welcome and can watch you take off and land
- Participants of the four seater experiences are allowed to bring an interested observer (min age 14) who can observe the lesson from the rear seat (at the discretion of the flight instructor and subject to weather conditions)
