About the experience
Enrol in a Dambusters flight excursion to get some time flying low over Yorkshire's moors and reservoirs. These Dambusters flights depart from Teesside International Airport and provide you more than an hour of flight time so you can get a sense of the kind of flight training the Dambusters pilots had to go through. For these flying lessons, you won't be in a Lancaster Bomber but rather a contemporary four seater light aircraft, and the views are just as breathtaking. Those brave pilots had to practise flying without modern navigational aids at altitudes as low as 150 feet, well below radar detection level, a challenge, to put it mildly.

- Flight time is approximately one hour 10 mins
- Includes a chance for you to take the controls during the flight
- Four seater flights usually allow the option of bringing a passenger along (at pilots discretion)
- Please allow around two hours on site for this experience

- Friends and family are welcome to watch the take off and landing
- Good facilities in the flying school building including toilets
- Minimum age for lessons is 14
- Under 18s must be accompanied on the airfield by an adult
4 Seater Restrictions:
- Maximum weight 19 stone per person
- Maximum height 6'5"

Maximum Weight: 120.65 kg
- Maximum passenger weight for four seater flights is 13 stone
Passengers that are going in the 4 seater aircraft at the pilots discretion MUST bring one of the following:
- Valid passport
- Photocard driving license
- Birth certificate for a child from the age of 6 up to 16 (we do not fly children under the age of 6)
- Birth certificate for an elderly person plus a utility bill
- Flights operate Monday to Friday all year round
- Lessons are subject to weather conditions and availability
- Please note that this experience is currently fully booked until September 2024, vouchers can be booked and redeemed after September (updated 22/05/24)
