Departing from Teesside International Airport, this one-of-a-kind experience offers over an hour of flying time, providing a first-hand glimpse into the rigorous flight training of the Dambusters pilots. While you won't be piloting a Lancaster Bomber, the modern two-seater light aircraft will treat you to equally breathtaking views. Imagine the challenge faced by the heroic pilots as they practiced flying down to 150ft without modern navigational aids. It's certainly no easy feat, as echoed by Wing Commander Gibson in the iconic 1955 Dambusters film. During this unique flight, you'll soar through the skies at normal cruising levels, taking in the awe-inspiring landscapes of the North Yorkshire Moors and the North Pennines, including the picturesque Balderhead, Selset, and Grassholme reservoirs. As you witness the breathtaking scenery from the cockpit, you'll be amazed by the diverse sights below, from dog walkers on the Moors to farmers tending to their livestock. This extraordinary Dambusters flight experience is available in both two-seater and four-seater modern light aircraft, with the added bonus of interacting with ex-RAF pilots who can regale you with their own thrilling low-level flying exploits.
