One Aerotow Glider Flight - North Devon
About the experience
Have you ever considered going on a gliding adventure in Devon? You can witness the breathtaking countryside from a serene vantage point, soaring through the skies above this peaceful corner of the South West. This friendly aero club in North Devonshire will make you feel like part of the team throughout your gliding experience. You will be taking an aerotow glider flight in a vintage RAF trainer glider called the Slingsby Silver T21 Sedbergh, affectionately known as "The Barge." If you're interested in trying your hand at flying, the instructor will hand you the controls so you can take charge of the glider. And if you're feeling particularly confident in your new flying abilities, you can remain in control for the rest of the flight. This aero club owns and maintains all the aircraft used for these gliding-over Devon experiences. It is one of the oldest clubs in the county, with a small fleet of modern and vintage open-cockpit gliders. All the instructors are fully qualified and members of the British Gliding Association.
