About the experience
The Westland Lynx had been flying in the UK’s skies since 1971 as is a firm favourite with aviation lovers. The helicopter was decommissioned by the army in 2014 but this ex army Westland Lynx has been turned into a simulator that you can fly with this Lynx Helicopter Simulator Experience. On arrival you will receive a 15 minute introduction and briefing covering aerodynamics, flight controls and the helicopter's instruments. Your instructor will guide you through flying the aircraft. Once in the pilot’s seat you can choose from different scenarios and airports to take off and land from. You will get 75 minutes of flight time and once you have landed your virtual helicopter flight, you will get a commemorative flight certificate. So get ready to take to the (virtual) skies with this fantastic simulator experience.

- This is a fixed base/ static simulator and does not move
- One person may accompany you in the simulator as a spectator for no additional charge
- The minimum spectator age is 10 and must remain seated for the duration of the flight
- There is a waiting area for additional people (maximum of 4) which must be booked prior to your visit

This was my second simulator run this day (first being the 737) Kenneth the instructor and co- pilot is clearly keen on flying and simulators, something that struck a cord with me. Kenneth was very welcoming and the introduction to helicopter flying was ideal prior to starting the sim. The flight itself was excellent and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Despite having flown Lynx in the Army in the air crewman role, it has been 20 years since I last flew a Lynx and it brought back many memories. Kenneth was great at giving advice and I would recommend him and his company to my family and friends! Thank you!
