About the experience

If you're based in Dorset and fancy taking to the skies like you never have before, this Wing Walking Experience should tick all the boxes! Your venue for this totally insane flying experience, that sees you strapped to the top wing of a vintage Boeing Stearman biplane, will be Henstridge Airfield, a general aviation airfield with World War II origins, based near the quiet, sleepy village of Templecombe on the border between Dorset and Somerset, and just under 25 minutes drive from the hillside set town of Shaftesbury, the site of the famous Gold Hill used in the Hovis TV adverts in the 1970s. Wing walking from here, however, promises vertiginous climbs of a very different variety! And it's certainly one for the daredevils out there, as you're hit with the full force of the elements on the top wing, with wind speeds of up to 120 mph, all whilst diving at angles of up to 35 degrees when on flypasts. Best of all, you'll be able to bring up to 50 family and friends to spectate and cheer you on. Now's your time to conquer wing walking in Dorset!
