About the experience
Unlock your inner daredevil with this Anytime Wing Walking Experience in Devon. Fly over the Blackdown Hills strapped to the top wing of a Stearman biplane. No previous experience is necessary as all training will be provided to you on the day. Before take off you will be briefed on the ground, the briefings will be kept short, clear and concise so that they are as easy as possible to understand and remember. Before you know it you will be in the rig securely strapped in ready to fly. Now be prepared, it may hit you, when you reach 10ft above the ground, but don’t panic. You do know what you are doing and no it wasn’t a bad decision, you will love it! You will also get the chance to perform a 10 minute routine in a series of flypasts and a daring dive from 500ft and perform your final manoeuvres. As you perform a final run and break coming in to land. Warning: You may have jelly legs, snotty nose and windblown hair, but hey that’s part of the fun!

- Invite friends and family to watch you in your own 10-minute wing walking display.
- Before the flight, you will receive a wing walker training session, which includes safety awareness and instruction on the use of the rig and seatbelts.
- Stand on the wing of an authentic Boeing Stearman Biplane travelling up to 135 mph.
- Your experience will last approximately 10 Minutes from when you start climbing onto the plane.
- A qualified display pilot will complete the air display
- Optional recording of your flight will be available for an additional charge (payable direct)
- Please allow approximately three hours on-site for this experience
It is a condition of CAA approval that you are fully aware that Wing Walking carries a higher risk than a normal commercial flight (e.g when you fly on holiday) . The operator of these experiences will brief you clearly on the risks that have been identified and how they have been mitigated to make the experiences as safe as possible. You will receive an in-depth briefing on the day of your flight and have the opportunity to ask any questions before signing a disclaimer, as well as confirm the briefing and risk acceptance.
Information
- Wing walkers must be under 85kg (13 stone 3lbs)
- There is no height restrictions for this experience
- The minimum age is 18; there is no upper age limit, but over 65's must have a doctor's note
- You must be able and fit enough to climb up the aircraft to the Rig on the top wing (approximately 10 feet)
- This experience is approved by the CAA, and you are permitted to raise money or be sponsored whilst Wing Walking at this location
- Please be aware that wing walking carries a higher risk than a 'normal' airline flight, and these risks will be clearly explained to you on the day
- A form is required should you have any medical conditions or be on any medication
- Selected dates between March and November 2024
