Nestled among the picturesque moorland in the South West Devon countryside, it's known for its small and friendly flying club passionate about getting as many people as possible to explore the beauty of gliding.

Gliding Experiences

There's no better way to gain an aerial view of this incredible landscape than to soar silently across the landscape in a Glider. Although Gliding is often associated with aerobatics and adrenaline, it is also one of the quietest forms of flying. This is because, unlike helicopters and planes, it doesn't have a typical aircraft, but relies on the rising air currents to gain height and soar away in silence

If you want to explore Dartmoor in the air and experience it from new heights, you'll definitely want to try a Gliding Experience. Luckily for you, we are currently offering a Gliding Day Course. In this extensive session, you'll experience 6 winch launches with a qualified BGA instructor and gain a real overview of this art of flying. If you want a full introduction to this special flying sport, this is the ideal flying experience.

However, if a full day sounds a bit intense, we're also offering a Two Winch Launch Gliding experience which gives you between 6 to 20 minutes of gliding time per winch launch depending on the weather conditions.
