Flying Experiences at Fenland Airfield

Information About Fenland Airfield

Fenland Aerodrome is a UK Civil Aviation Authority-licensed airfield supporting general aviation operations. This license allows the aerodrome to facilitate aircraft take-offs and landings for public transport of passengers, as well as flight instruction provided by Fenland Flying School.

The aerodrome operates on a non-PPR (Prior Permission Required) basis, except for non-radio flights and aircraft requiring Jet A-1 fuel. If you're an aviation enthusiast or know someone who is, you're in luck! Fenland Aerodrome offers a range of flying experiences, including Vintage Flying Experiences in iconic aircraft like the Auster Warbird.

The Auster AOP-6 (Air Observation Post) played a vital role in the British military during the Korean War, primarily used for reconnaissance and artillery spotting by the Army Air Corps and Royal Artillery. An essential asset in challenging terrain, the Auster AOP-6 remains a cherished piece of British aviation history—and now, you have the chance to experience it firsthand!

Fenland Airfield Facilities

Fenland Aerodrome offers a wide range of facilities for pilots and student pilots across Lincolnshire, Norfolk, and Cambridgeshire. These include on-site restaurant services, aircraft and helicopter refuelling for 'fly-in' visitors, aircraft charter services and Licensed aircraft maintenance and avionics services.

Pilot training is conducted using the school’s fleet of UK (G)-registered light aircraft, including Cessna 152, Cessna 172 Skyhawks, Robin DR360 Chevalier, and a SIAI-Marchetti S.205-20/R, along with a ground school solo flight simulator.

Each year, the aerodrome hosts public air displays and aviation events, attracting enthusiasts and visitors alike. It is also located near RAF Holbeach Air Weapons Range, situated along The Wash on the Lincolnshire coastline.

Terms and Conditions for Fenland Airfield

Once you order a voucher, it will be dispatched by one of our agency partners by e-voucher or by post, depending on which you choose when you checkout.

Vouchers are valid until the expiry date shown on your Voucher (typically 10-12 months).

In most cases, once you activate your voucher you will be sent the instructions to redeem the voucher directly with the airfield or operator. Because flying experiences (other than simulators) can only take place in suitable/ safe weather conditions, you must be prepared to be flexible on your activity date. If the agent or operator cancels your experience date, they will inform you as soon as possible and do their very best to offer an alternative date or location. Once a specific date has been booked, you will automatically become bound by the terms and conditions that the individual operator may have. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Whilst every effort is made to ensure the descriptions contained on our products are a true reflection of the experience, these do not form part of a contract. If on contacting the operator you feel that the activity taking place no longer accurately represents the activity purchased, the relevant agent will exchange the voucher or refund the purchase price.
