Fenland Aerodrome is a UK Civil Aviation Authority-licensed airfield supporting general aviation operations. This license allows the aerodrome to facilitate aircraft take-offs and landings for public transport of passengers, as well as flight instruction provided by Fenland Flying School.

The aerodrome operates on a non-PPR (Prior Permission Required) basis, except for non-radio flights and aircraft requiring Jet A-1 fuel. Fenland Aerodrome offers a wide range of facilities for pilots and student pilots across Lincolnshire, Norfolk, and Cambridgeshire. These include on-site restaurant services, aircraft and helicopter refuelling for 'fly-in' visitors, aircraft charter services and Licensed aircraft maintenance and avionics services.

Pilot training is conducted using the school’s fleet of UK (G)-registered light aircraft, including Cessna 152, Cessna 172 Skyhawks, Robin DR360 Chevalier, and a SIAI-Marchetti S.205-20/R, along with a ground school solo flight simulator.

Each year, the aerodrome hosts public air displays and aviation events, attracting enthusiasts and visitors alike. It is also located near RAF Holbeach Air Weapons Range, situated along The Wash on the Lincolnshire coastline.
