Fulfil all of your learning to fly dreams with this trial flying lesson in a 4-seater aircraft. With a pre-flight safety briefing and expert instructors on hand to help you feel safe in the skies, this is the ideal experience for those who want to learn to fly and are starting from square one. You can even bring along a friend for moral support with an available free seat in the rear of the plane. Not only will you get an informative flying experience, but get to appreciate Cranfield which was a former RAF station now owned by the University. If you’re not familiar with this site, it’s known as aviation’s ‘best kept secret’ as a strategic RAF airbase in 1935. With a significant role in World War Two history, it’s a site that provides flyers with an additional special touch. In your lesson you’ll be flying a Piper PA-28 training plane which is a reliable aircraft ideal for learners as it’s known for being less jumpy than a traditional aircraft. After the pilot has gone through the basic controls, you’ll be given the chance to fly the plane through the air yourself as you grace the skies over Bedfordshire. If you’ve ever wanted to learn to fly, take this as your sign. With a special airfield steeped in history and passionate instructors to guide you through the 20 minutes, flying is soon going to become second nature and an activity you end up returning to.
