Are you ready to experience the thrill of flying in a 100% electric plane? The Velis Electro is a fully certified electric aircraft that is the first of its kind in the world. It looks just like a conventional plane, but instead of using fuel to power the propeller, it uses a liquid-cooled electric battery system. Just like an electric car, the Velis Electro can be recharged by plugging it in. Based at Damyns Hall in Essex, these electric planes have a flight range of approximately 50 minutes, making them perfect for trial flying lessons and training. You'll be seated next to your pilot instructor in the cockpit, allowing you to see everything that's happening. The LCD display in front of you provides information about the electric powertrain. Unlike combustion engine planes, no warm-up is required before takeoff. With just four switches to power up, you're ready to go. The cockpit is also much quieter and emits zero CO2 emissions. In terms of performance, the electric plane is just as good as a conventional aircraft, if not better. It's also simpler to operate and maintain, with fewer moving parts and batteries located behind the nose and in the rear of the cockpit.
